The Woman Behind Makeup Over the Hudson
Hi - my name is Amanda and I’m a certified makeup artist in New York. I received my certification through the Nina MUA Makeup Academy in New York City. I have always enjoyed trying out different makeup techniques and different products in order to achieve a gorgeous look. To this day, I’m constantly researching all makeup trends to stay ahead of the game. Originally starting my career in the news industry as a news producer, I was always recommending products to anchors and reporters on-air. While in news, a producer asked me to do her makeup for her wedding. I was so excited and honored! Fast forward 5 years later and she reached out to me saying, “My cousin is getting married and to this day still talks about how perfect her makeup looked at my wedding when you did it, can you be her makeup artist for her wedding?” This request got me thinking, how can I turn this passion of mine into a career? Well here we are - Makeup Over the Hudson was created.
